My family recently went out to have some Halloween fun at a place called Hee-Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove. Amidst the farm-like atmosphere there were many fun things to experience and we had a great time. One of the highlites was pig racing and I must say that my son is a natural (see images above). Of course, the younger kids only had to touch the pig for a few seconds to 'win' but dads were asked to catch a much bigger pig, cradle it in our arms like a baby and sing it a lullaby. Moms were asked to grab the pigs hind legs and walk it on its front legs to the other side of the pen in a race with other moms. Did we all volunteer for these activities; yes. Did any of us 'win'; no. Were any pigs harmed: emotional distress is hard to gauge. Did we have a great time; absolutely. Incidentally, I got my hands on the pig but it bolted through my legs before I could grab it- I was almost famous.

Yee-Haw Cooter, you just ain't redneck enough to catch them pigs. Sounds like a fun family activity. I know our heroes would be all over trying to catch some pigs.
