I Got Snowed-In At Work This Week

There was a huge blizzard Wednesday night. It came in near the end of my 12-hour shift and closed down all the major roadways. A lot of people were stranded at work and couldn't leave, which was the case with me. If it weren't for the cafeteria handing out free food I wouldn't of made it. I continued working since the night shift couldn't make it in and because the roads were too nasty for this Floridian to traverse without dying. I slept for about three hours under my desk (hard floors and skinny bodies aren't meant to be together) and I ended up working until the roads cleared the next day at about 3pm. Working 32 hours was rough but the company is compensating us well for keeping the place running when our replacements couldn't make it in. I'd say it was worth it if only for the free hot dog and chips.

Here's a new report about giving some details about how the weather caused issues across the valley: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=2659200

You know I don't think we ever had snow quite that bad in all the years we lived there.
