Being a member of the Air National Guard affords me great opportunities. For instance, this past weekend I was allowed to fire the M16A2 rifle (pictured) in order to re-qualify with the weapon. We have to do this regularly in order to ensure that if ever there comes a time to use deadly force we are very familiar with the tools. My score during the qualification was 41 out of 50. This means that I successfully hit targets on paper representing 300 meters and closer 41 times out of 50 attempts. Long story short, if I'm mobilized due to foreign invasion of the state/country and 50 'bad guys' are storming toward your house I may be reasonably successfull at hitting about 41 of them if they're closer than 300 meters and are relatively still. You're on your own with the other 9.

Funny Eric. Congratulations on your success. It is really hard for me to picture you with a gun like that though.
Ya, I agree, to imagine you with a gun is scary! Especially after we have "html-ed" for hours a few days before that and laughing about how funny we, I mean you of course, think we are...and clever!
I call qualifying preparation for the day we are invaded by an Army of paper! LOL! Serioussly, that's a good score! We had a guy one year score a 3! I didn't know that was possible, but those people do exist! Anyway... good job! I scored a 48... no big deal lol! But I am a self identifed nerd and I own my own M-4, that may have something to do with it!
I knew it was only a matter of time before you commented Robert. I am not surprised at your score, or the fact that you sleep next to your M4 every night and talk to it. It would be an honor to engage the paper Army along side you should the need arise! ;)
O the need will arise my friend!
Next time I am down that way perhaps... my Mom gets home in AUG from her mission I am trying to get there!
eric...keeping it real as always. see you next weekend.
Well I get expert everytime (haha) so I'll be your wingman and get the other nine and of course since I'm an officer now you have to stand in front and get as many as you can first, once you fall out I'll take over.
Ahh I've been hit! Okay Lisa, your turn...Lisa? Lisa?! ;)
