What you don't know about this picture...

A picture can paint a thousand words, but I can guarantee this picture didn't tell you the following:

• This was taken during my daughter's first birthday party a few nights ago (my wife will have all the details posted on her blog shortly). With an army of adults and kids around it's amazing that there are no stray arms or legs in the background or in my face.
  
• This was taken by my good friend Sam Brand.
  
• This may be the only patch of grass in our yard that isn't trying to die or be overrun by weeds.
  
• I'm trying to smile despite a headache I acquired at work that day. It soon dissipated and I had a great time.
  
• I received that wrist watch as a five year employment gift from Micron Technologies, Inc. (I no longer work for them, but it's a great watch).
  
• I got that shirt from Old Navy for $3.00. My first ever trip to Old Navy was in 1994 with Chris Allred- the year Old Navy opened for business.
  

And you thought it was just another picture of a tall and goofy fella trying to look GQ but failing.
