I think that flash of blue and pink was my daughter...

My daughter got new knee and elbow pads and a helmet a few days ago so she'll be better protected while riding her bike. It's a first for her. She broke the helmet in by wearing it while eating lunch at the kitchen table. Afterward we went outside so she could ride her bike (actually her brother's old bike- I'm thinking of painting it). I occasionally have to remind her that the handlebars are backwards but besides that I simply get to sit on the porch swing and watch her and her brother have fun riding. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
